Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus

Today is St. David’s Day here in Wales.

Wales is a beautiful part of the world, especially in Spring where days begin to get longer and skies become more blue more often.

This is the first time I’ve been home during this time of year for five years and I’m enjoying the natural beauty around me.

There are mountains, trees, rivers and streams and as I study my masters in composing, I find myself in a moment where I feel creative and surrounded by the love of my family, despite the trials of a tough winter.

Our national anthem was written in Pontypridd and celebrates heritage, poetry and song.

It sounds it’s best when sung in our national stadium during the rugby. I came across this sensational clip where we won the grand slam in 2013.

Our flag also has a dragon on it! How cool is that?
